Hotmail Overhaul Adds Spam Fix, New Features | Part 3

Another major plus: Thanks to integration with SkyDrive, Microsoft lets you attach up to 200 50-megabyte photo or document files, or collectively up to 10 gigabytes in a single message. The Gmail attachment limit is 25 MB.

Through the Bing connections, it’s a breeze to search for and easily attach maps, videos, movie listings and so on to your outgoing messages.

I wasn’t wild about everything in the new Hotmail. Whenever I sent mail off to a new recipient, Hotmail asked if I wanted to add them to my contacts. That’s fine. But even after the person was a contact, Hotmail kept reminding me of the fact, which started to become a nuisance.

Switching e-mail accounts is always a hassle. But if you use multiple e-mail accounts as I do, consider putting Hotmail back in the mix.
